Marbury: James joining the Mavericks will immediately make them a championship contender

Marbury said: "You put him on that team, they are competitors. I think for him, he needs to play with that kind of player group to stay competitive at this age and not have to bear too much load."

Marbury believes that the Mavericks will allow LeBron to maintain his body at the highest level of competition. Surrounded by capable scorers and playmakers, LeBron can focus on leadership and efficiency rather than shouldering the full workload every night.
